Errors

Just got a new iPhone so had to update the app as well. Most of my clients are running on ACC 4 so I cannot view them via my mobile device anymore. The client that is running 5.0, I keep getting authentication error 401. The old app was better! I paid good money for these systems. I expected better.

Doesnt Work

Nice App but does not work with IOS 8.

iOS 8

App worked well enough prior to iOS 8. Now I get errors every time I login. Please upgrade this soon! This is a valuable aspect to your full system offerings.

iOS8 Update?!

Can we get an update? Hard to review video on my companys expensive security system if I cant monitor the cameras!!

Broken with iOS8

I reported this issue where iOS devices running 8 or higher is getting an authorization 401 error with Avigilon on 9/18/2014. We are still waiting for an update to fix this app and its pretty much unusable at its current state. Avigilon suggested that we use the iPad web browser to view the video streams on the iPad as a workaround but there is no way to click and drag a camera from your server list to the video pane to open the video stream through that interface. Please get your act together. 3 weeks is way too long to fix to an issue that is considered a show stopper.

No iOS 8 update

Stopped working since iOS 8 came out and Avigilon has no answers on timeframe of repair.

Worked great up until iOS 8. Been over a month a still no update?? Cant even view my cameras without getting a error 401. Please fix asap

Its been broken ever since iOS 8

UPDATE: there is a SERVER update that can be installed that seems to allow the app to work in iOS 8. Please check into this if youve had issues since upgrading to iOS 8. This app, while nicely conceived, can prove to be very glitchy under certain conditions. Like leaving the feed up on display for an extended time (we have an iPad mounted on the wall) can cause it to freeze up. You have to kill the app and restart -- or often do a hard reset to the iPad for it to function again. But with the new iOS 8, its been broken for a couple of weeks now. Our local support team called in to Avigilon support and they confirmed that iOS 8 is indeed wreaking havoc on their software and a fix was imminent. Thats been a week, so hopefully well see an update in the App Store soon!

Authentication Error

App doesnt work with OS 8 or newer. Keep on getting authentication error [401]. Cant view any cameras.

Can not get the newest version to work with any V5 software. V5.2.8.10 or V5.2.8.12 or V5.2.8.14 It does work if you are running V4.x Updated: 2015-03-25 Worst PoS ever!!! Zero stars would be just.

Got a new iPhone and the upgraded app cycles the cameras off and on with authentication error 401. Extremely frustrating.

Constant 401 errors on iPhone 6 - strangely it works fine on an iPhone 5s.

Im not sure what some of the other reviews are about, Im running this app on my iPhone 6 and its completely reliable. Even on 4G the video comes through with great resolution.

Works after updating Gateway software

I called Avigilon about the issue. They remotely connected and updated my gateway software to the latest build of v4. My App now works great! To all those facing issues, update your avigilon software asap!!

Do not upgrade

UPDATE: They still have no fixed the app. Even with the latest server updates I cannot see my cameras even though Im connected to the gateway and can select them, the second I add them and click on them, they just appear black. This is ridiculous after buying 12 of these cameras and paying for their software. Im using this to monitor my home, and Im leaning more and more towards another company. The latest version of the app will not connect to any of your cameras. You will see "disconnected" for each camera, even when successfully connected to the gateway. This is a problem not just for my house but my friends house as well. We have contacted Avigilon support and theyre looking into it.

App is very slow/sluggish

The app is extremely slow and sluggish. All I really get is the spinning wheels of death for a few minutes before the camera images pull up. If you need to see an individual camera, once again you get the spinning wheel of death. Once coming out of the individual camera, again you get the spinning wheels of death. Hopefully an update is coming soon that fixes the speed of the app.
